STRING ART

String Art is a relaxing art that consists of transferring a motif or pattern to paper, fixing this paper on wooden material, nailing the nails on the lines in the pattern in a regular way, and passing the wires through these nails using certain knitting techniques. It is thought that string art emerged from the Middle East and spread to the West and the Far East. The traditional handicraft string art, which was also practiced during the Ottoman period, is also known as nail art.

String Art is a precious art of form that is worked by skillful hands patiently weaving the wire one by one to the nail. Although it is about to be forgotten in the world due to its difficulty and patience, it continues diligently at KAYMEK. These works made by the filographer are unique because they reflect the love of wire and nail.
